For three days (April 11 -13), friends and family of the Cactus Ohana were treated to a complete sampling of the Cactus lunch menu, for each of those days, commonly referred to as a soft opening. We used a scripted approach to ensure the kitchen staff got practice on all parts of the menu, and our guests were each rewarded with an appetizer and an entrée unique for the table. This approach enabled the wait staff to practice their service skills and enhance their knowledge of the unique cuisine offered at Cactus, and to validate and refine the operation of our order entry and point of sale systems.
The soft opening enabled us to focus on perfecting our restaurant operations, both food and service, while rewarding friends and family, many of whom helped get us here through their efforts and/or their sacrifices.
