Local Artists Featured at ‘Cactus Gallery’ (Monday April 9th)
Cactus is delighted to have the opportunity to share the original art of many local artists. Through an arrangement with the Hawai’i Watercolor Society, Cactus will present an evolving display by members of the society. This beautiful artwork enhances your culinary experience, engages the visual senses, and should a particular piece enchant you, the artists are prepared to part with them. Come join us at Cactus in a celebration of the cuisines of the new Americas and the artistic accomplishments of the members of the Hawai’i Watercolor Society.
The Hawai’i Watercolor Society (HWS) is proud to have the original works of several of our members on display at the new “Cactus Gallery”. Our featured artists are Carky Ainlay, Anita Bruce, Patrice Federspiel, Frances Hill, Susan Phillips, Rebecca Snow, and Nancy Taylor.
About The Hawai’i Watercolor Society
The HWS was founded in 1962 by Hawai’i artist Hon Chew Hee. Our aim is to nurture and stimulate interest in water media through education, exhibits, and collaboration. We sponsor two juried exhibits every year and offer workshops to both members and non-members. We also provide outreach to our community such as Art to Go, the Boys and Girls Club, and the HISAM family art days. Our membership is open to everyone, and we invite you to visit our website www.hawaiiwatercolorsociety.org for more information.
